This Cookie Policy explains how Tinkerblox Inc. ("Tinkerblox," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on tinkerblox.ai (the "Site"), and the choices you have. Read it together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
The short version: the Site uses one essential cookie to remember your cookie choice, and cookie-free analytics to count visits. We do not use advertising, retargeting or personalization cookies. Analytics cookies are off unless you allow them.
1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files a website places in your browser. They let the site recognize your browser on later visits or across pages.
Similar technologies work in comparable ways:
Pixels and web beacons — tiny images or code that record when a page or email is viewed.
Local storage — data a website saves in your browser, like a cookie but held differently.
Embedded scripts — code that runs in your browser to measure how the Site is used.
In this Policy we call all of these "cookies." First-party cookies are set by Tinkerblox. Third-party cookies are set by another company when you visit our Site.
Information collected by cookies may be combined with personal data you give us, for example when you submit a pilot request after browsing the Site. When combined, we treat it as personal data under our Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Cookies and Analytics
2.1 Essential cookie
We set one first-party cookie, tb_consent, to remember your cookie choice so we do not ask you again on every page.
2.2 Cookie-free analytics
The Site is hosted on Framer, which provides built-in analytics. It counts page views, referring sites, and broad device and location information in aggregate. It does not set cookies or store identifiers in your browser, and it does not track you across other websites.
2.3 Analytics cookies
We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we add them, they will be set only after you allow them in our cookie banner, and we will list them in Section 5.
2.4 What we do not do
We do not use cookies to profile you, to show you ads on other sites, or to sell or share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Your Cookie Choices
3.1 Cookie banner
On your first visit, a banner lets you choose Allow analytics or Essential only. Both options are equally easy to choose, and the Site works fully either way.
3.2 Changing your mind
Select Cookie settings in the Site footer at any time to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops analytics cookies from that point on.
3.3 Each browser and device
Your choice is saved in the browser you are using. If you use a different browser or device, or clear your cookies, we will ask again.
3.4 Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a choice of Essential only, and the banner will not ask you again on that browser.
3.5 Do Not Track
There is no common standard for "Do Not Track" signals, so the Site does not respond to them. Use the cookie banner or GPC instead.
3.6 Browser controls
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies through their settings. If you block all cookies, we cannot remember your choice and the banner will appear on each visit.
4. Types of Cookies
Category | What it does | Needs your consent? | Used on our Site? |
|---|---|---|---|
Strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie choice | No | Yes |
Analytics cookies | Measures how visitors use the Site; may store a unique ID | Yes | Not currently |
Personalization | Tailors content or messages based on your browsing | Yes | No |
Advertising and retargeting | Tracks you across sites to show targeted ads | Yes | No |
5. Cookies and Services on This Site
Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
tb_consent | Tinkerblox (first party) | Cookie — strictly necessary | Stores your cookie choice and when you made it | 12 months |
Framer Analytics | Framer | Script — no cookies | Counts visits in aggregate | No data stored in your browser |
Google Fonts | Font files — no cookies | Displays the Site's typefaces; your browser requests font files from Google | No data stored in your browser |
We will update this table whenever we add or remove a cookie or service.
6. How Long Cookies Stay
Session cookies last only while your browser is open and are deleted when you close it.
Persistent cookies stay until they reach the expiry date in Section 5 or until you delete them. Our only cookie, tb_consent, is persistent and lasts 12 months.
7. Third-Party Sites
Links on the Site to LinkedIn, X (Twitter), GitHub and Discord take you to services that set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control those cookies.
8. Tracking in Our Emails
Emails we send after you contact us may contain a pixel that records whether the email was opened or a link was clicked. You can block this by turning off automatic image loading in your email client.
9. Changes to This Policy
We will update this Policy when our use of cookies changes and post the new version with a new effective date. If we add a category of cookie that needs consent, we will ask for your consent before setting it.
